Privacy Policy
Effective August 2, 2026
CalCollapse is operated by Watts Life Technologies, LLC. This service exists to copy events out of your Google Calendars and into a calendar you already own on iCloud, which means we handle two of the more personal things you can hand an application: your calendar and the credentials that reach it. This page says exactly what we do with both.
The short version
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- The credentials you connect are stored encrypted and are used for one thing: running your syncs.
- We store your calendar events because syncing them incrementally requires it, and we delete them when you delete the sync or your account.
- Nothing in your calendar is used for advertising or sold on.
Information we collect
What you give us
- Account details. You sign in with Apple, which gives us an account identifier and the email address Apple passes along. If you chose to hide your address, we receive Apple’s private relay address and never see your real one.
- Connected Google accounts. When you authorize a Google account we receive a token that lets us read your calendars. We ask for read access only, and we store the email address of the account so you can tell your accounts apart.
- Connected iCloud accounts. Your Apple ID and the app-specific password you generate for us, which is what lets us write to your iCloud calendar. We ask for an app-specific password precisely so that your real Apple ID password never reaches us and you can revoke ours without changing anything else.
- Calendar data. The events in the calendars you choose to sync, including their titles, times, locations, descriptions, and attendees, along with the address of the iCloud calendar you are syncing into. We keep a copy so that each run only has to fetch what changed rather than re-reading your entire calendar every hour.
What we collect automatically
- Request data. IP address and basic browser, device, and operating system details, which arrive with every request to any website and which we use to keep the service up and to spot abuse.
- Sync records. When each sync ran, whether it succeeded, how many events moved, and the error if it failed. This is the log you see on your own dashboard.
How we use your information
- To run the syncs you have set up, which is the service itself.
- To show you what happened on your own calendars and why.
- To contact you about your account, including when a sync has been failing long enough that it needs your attention.
- To investigate a problem when you write to support about one.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- To comply with the law where we are required to.
Data storage and processing
Your calendar data is stored in our database, refreshed each time a sync runs, and deleted when you delete the calendar pairing or your account. Credentials are held separately from the rest of your data and encrypted at rest; they are decrypted only for the moment a sync needs them, and they are never written to our logs. Access to your rows is enforced at the database level, so one account cannot read another’s data even if the application asks it to.
Deletion is immediate in the live database. Backups are a separate matter and are covered under retention below.
Third-party services
We keep the list of companies that touch your data as short as we can manage. Today it is two:
- Vercel — hosting. Our application runs on their infrastructure, so requests to CalCollapse pass through it.
- Supabase — secure storage. Your account, your calendar data, and your encrypted credentials live in a database they operate.
Each has its own privacy policy governing what it does as our infrastructure provider. Separately, and only because you asked us to, we talk to Google and Apple on your behalf to read and write the calendars you connected; their handling of your account is governed by their own policies, not ours.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers above, to the extent needed to run CalCollapse; when the law requires it; when we need to protect our rights, our users, or the safety of others; and, if the business is ever sold or merged, with the acquiring party, who would be bound by this policy until you are told otherwise.
Data retention
- Account details are kept until you delete your account.
- Calendar data is kept until you delete the sync it belongs to or your account.
- Sync records are kept for a short period so that a failure you report can still be investigated.
- Backups are purged on a rolling schedule, so deleted data may persist in them for up to 7 days after it leaves the live database.
Deleting a connected account here does not undo the access you granted elsewhere. You can revoke our Google access from your Google account’s security settings, and revoke the app-specific password from your Apple ID settings, at any time — with or without telling us.
Your rights
You can access and correct your information, delete your account and everything attached to it, request an export of your data, and opt out of any message that is not strictly about your account. Most of this you can do yourself from within the app; for the rest, write to us at support@calcollapse.com and we will take care of it.
International users
CalCollapse is operated from the United States and your information is processed there. If you are using the service from elsewhere, you are consenting to that transfer.
Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, encrypt stored credentials, scope every database query to the account that made it, redact secrets from our logs, keep our dependencies current, and limit personnel access to what a person needs to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, and we would rather say that than promise otherwise.
Children’s privacy
CalCollapse is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we will remove it.
Analytics
We look at basic, aggregated usage — how many syncs run, how often they fail — to keep the service working. It is not tied to individuals and is not shared with advertisers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be announced rather than slipped in.

Questions about any of this go to support@calcollapse.com, and a person will answer.
